As a Director I aim to achieve the perfect balance between strong visuals and a compelling storyline. I believe the overall look of a series should enhance the narrative and help bring the whole production to life (working within the budget of course).

 

Over the past 12 years + series directing in the TV industry I have worked with a vast number of on-screen talent, celebrities and contributors for some of the UK’s largest broadcasters. As comfortable filming the Prime Minister at Downing Street as I am celebrities Ski Jumping in Austria or even documenting second-hand car dealer rivalry.  I’ve worked across a wide range of genres; Fact Ent, Comedy, Scripted Comedy, Reality, Music TV, Entertainment, Short Form...the list goes on.

 

From directing large multi-camera shoots to smaller intimate projects that require a little more sensitivity, I’m very conscious of each project’s subtleties and I also self-shoot to a high standard when the job requires it.

 

Although I relish the creative challenge of a new series I am also comfortable tackling an established series to develop and hopefully improve what has gone before.
